Standing Stones + Megalith Markers at Malta's Astronomy Observation Complex
Peru has an ancient solar observatory that uses a sloping hill top, the 13 towers of Chankillo. Malta has a similar shaped hill and depending on which side you are on you can track the rising/setting sun.
Peru's solar observatory uses thirteen towers to mark the procession of the sun through the year. Malta's solar observatory appears to have used Megaliths (Standing Stones) to do the same thing.
These Megalith markers are in a line going over the top of the hill, with 2 boulder "avenues" at either end going down the steeper side slopes. The ridge on the top of the hill has been built up or was left during the construction of the astronomy observervation complex by the Temple Builders.
Megalith markers and fallen Standing Stones
This large fallen Standing Stone is a Megalith marker, having a rectangular shape with mostly straight and flat sides. The smaller boulders beside it have flat edges, so if raised upright it would stand out on the skyline.
Large rectangular shaped Megaliths can be found on the slopes either side of the ridge. These would appear to have been dislodged from the top ridge. A lot of the special stones were either made from this lumpy/concretion material or have transmuted into it.
The area around the ridge has stones with straight edges, right angled corners and flat edges. These stones were used for a variety of purposes, some include being the marker Standing Stones, support stones and plinths or bases for the other stones.
Plinths or block stones may also ave been used to adjust the height of some of the Megalith marker stones during and after construction of the astronomy/solar obsvertory complex.
The photograph on the left shows the odd shaped hills that are part of this astronomy observation complex near Dingli Cliffs in Malta. The photograph on the right shows another large fallen Standing Stone.
Malta's Glory Hole - Porthole Slab
Along the top of the raised platform there is a "Porthole Slab", a Standing Stone with a hole through it. This Porthole Slab stands out because it is standing up and another Glory Hole Standing Stone has not been found so far. Notice the small boulder beside it with a partly flat surface.
Fallen Standing Stone (Pillarstone Marker)?
The marker and Standing Stones on the hilltop continue down the central line and the side slopes (NE and SW slopes). There are flat sections of land found down these slopes. There is what seems to be a fallen Standing Stone, or, depending on where you come from it would be called a different name. Standing Stones or Megaliths have many names, for example Stollaire, Kerbstones.
This Pillarstone (Standing Stone) would have been used to observe the sun using a variation of horizon astronomy technique. This Standing Stone (Bautastenar in Swedish) appears to have broken into a few pieces. Or it is just natural rocks in a line?
For Malta's Temple Builders to have observed and tracked the rising sun they would have watched from the opposite side to where the odd shaped hills are located. There is a small mound near the base of this long hilltop, this may have been constructed for that purpose. If not there is flat land up to the clifftops.
What's the point of Megalith markers?
Following on down the NE side slope there is a boulder "avenue" or 2 rows of boulders marking a path. These could used for marking the solar movement along the horizon but they may also have been used to mark Ley Lines or Dragon Lines.
This large stone has some very straight lines and when you climb on top of it you get to see its amazing shape. Is this the point of some of the Megalith Stones? An ideal marker Standing Stone.
SpongeBob Squarepants Stone
This large square boulder appears at certain angles to be a cube, with a number of straight lines, flat sides and 90 degree corners. It has been formed from a very interesting type of rock that has limestone concretions in it. Similar to others found on this astronomy observeration hilltop and MattEU's small balls found further along the coast on the Dingli Cliffs.
Were these special stones chosen to be created from that type of limestone rock. Another option in an Electrical Universe is that they were transmuted into concretions during an EU Catastrophe event.
There was a period of "Abandonment" throughout Europe and the world where the ancient cultures and peoples left villages, cities and complexes. All around the same time. Perhaps one of the Catastrophes that has affected the Earth during its recent history caused this and may explain certain features found on some of the stones.
It may start to explain and solve the puzzle of why ancient "Temples" and complexes where abandoned and lots covered over in soil. Anger or fear at what they thought may have triggered the Catastrophe. Like trying to build a Tower up to heaven and then being scattered around the world.
